Colorado may be known for its great natural beauty and wide open spaces, but it is less known for the quality of its beaches – which is a pity seeing at they are some of the most attractive in the United States. In fact Denver has some extremely attractive beaches that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
You’re not going to get the ocean fresh air, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot have a great time out in the fresh air and enjoy the cool refreshing feeling of some great fresh water fun.
Here are some of the best choices for a day at the beach in Denver.
1. Aurora Reservoir.

There’s also an 8 mile hike around the reservoir which offers some spectacular views.

3. Jackson Lake State Park.
